As it was my first time teaching in any capacity, I created a Google Form at the end of my visit to gather feedback about the course and general areas of improvement for future teaching opportunities. I was extremely humbled by the results.

For many of the students, this was their introduction to After Effects and motion graphics. I tailored my lesson plans to beginners and made sure to¬† explore the use of fundamental animation concepts (eg. anticipation, squash and stretch) while also covering other useful tools for medical animation such as type reveals, particles and noise effects stacks. Many of the faculty have an undergraduate degree in Biological and Natural History Illustration, so they decided to play with some biological subject matter, such as animals and insects (instead of the more typical human anatomy and clinical subjects).
